Volunteer Opportunities
The Community Resource Center has several volunteer opportunities available.
They are seeking volunteers for the food pantry. Weekly, half-day shifts are now available on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, 9:00am – noon. Food pantry volunteers not only stock shelves, but also assist shoppers in completing the intake forms and making their grocery selections.
The CRC is also working with the Meals on Wheels program to recruit additional volunteer drivers to expand meal delivery to Manchester area participants. These meals are prepared at the Chelsea Senior Center daily, but currently they are only delivered in Manchester on Mondays. The Meals on Wheels program could be offered in Manchester on Wednesdays and Fridays as well, if there are committed volunteers willing to take on each of the two routes. This would allow are participants the option of hot meals on Monday, Wednesday and Friday through the Meals on Wheels program. Tuesday and Thursday hot meals are available through the Manchester Senior Citizen Council lunches.
