Everyone will have the opportunity to learn about and touch live animals this Friday, July 11 at 4pm in the Village Room at the Manchester District Library. As part of the Summer Reading Program, the Great Lakes Zoological Society "World of Discovery" (GLZS), will be bringing live animals for an interactive program focusing on animal behavior and conservation. The GLZS is an indoor zoo located in Ann Arbor that features reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. They have offered interpretive educational programs at their location for years but have just recently branched out into offering "Zoo-to-You" programs. The librarians were excited to note that this visit to Manchester's library will actually be GLZS first off-site animal education program! All are welcome regardless of library card status or Summer Reading Program participation. No pre-registration is required.

The Manchester District Library is located at 912 City Road. If you have any questions about the GLZS visit or the summer reading program please call 428-8045. The GLZS is located at 6885 Jackson Rd. and can be reached through email at Info@glzszoo.org or by calling (734) 332-1628.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
