On Friday, July 11 at 4pm in the Village Room at the Manchester District Library, as part of the Summer Reading Program, the Great Lakes Zoological Society “World of Discovery” (GLZS), brought live animals for an interactive program focusing on animal behavior and conservation. The GLZS is an indoor zoo located in Ann Arbor that features reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. They have offered interpretive educational programs at their location for years but have just recently branched out into offering “Zoo-to-You” programs. The librarians were excited to note that this visit to Manchester’s library will actually be GLZS first off-site animal education program! IMG_2876 IMG_2879 IMG_2881 IMG_2884 IMG_2888 IMG_2892 IMG_2906 IMG_2917 IMG_2929
