Crab Races to be Held at Freedom Township Hall

The Manchester Community Schools Foundation will be holding its annual Crab Races Saturday, November 1, 2014 at a new location this year, Freedom Township Hall. Doors will open at 4:30pm and the races will run 5pm - 8pm. There will be 5 qualifying races and 1 finals (prize race) per hour. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 racers in each of the finals. There is no cost to get in. Crabs are $10 each. Racers can keep their crab or return it at the end of the night. Complete crab care kits will be available for purchase. Hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, pizza, nachos, cookies, pop and water will be for sale and the event is BYOB. Crab art by Klager students will be on display for your enjoyment. This year's major event sponsor is R.D.Kleinschmidt Inc.

All proceed go to the benefit of the Manchester Community Schools Foundation, a non-profit organization that awards mini grants throughout the district to fund projects and materials that are not provided for in the District's budget. Visit its website for more information.
