The Manchester Civic Club Student of the month for March is Jessica Manders. Jessica is currently a senior at Manchester High School and the daughter of Mark and Julie Manders of Manchester.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, FFA and Student Council. Jessica served as Class President her freshmen, sophomore and junior years. She has played on the varsity basketball and the varsity soccer teams for four years, the varsity volleyball team for three years and the JV volleyball team during her freshman year. Jessica was named an All-Star soccer player her sophomore and junior years and also was a member of the 2013 Class C State Championship basketball team.

In addition to school, she supports the greater community by volunteering. Jessica has been a team captain for three years for Relay for Life, she works at the community fish fry and rings bells for the Salvation Army during the holidays.

With a cumulative GPA of 4.241, Jessica has consistently been on the honor roll throughout her high school career. In the fall, she plans to attend Ferris State University to study optometry.

Manchester Civic Club, in collaboration with the faculty and administration of Manchester High School, selects Student of the Month from applicants based on academic achievement, leadership/participation in extra-curricular activities, and all around service to the school and community.
