For the second year, Manchester High School art students had the opportunity to submit their concept for the Fair book cover. Out of 15 entries from Mrs. Griffin's art classes two stood out among the rest, Selena Brown’s (2nd place) and Josie Rickert’s (1st place). The first place winner’s art will be used on the 71st fair book cover and each of the girls received a monetary award and season passes to this year’s fair.

The Manchester Community Fair began in the halls of the high school (now the Nellie Ackerson Administration building), organized by the FFA (Future Farmers of America) and FHA (Future Homemakers of America) in collaboration with the schools and local businesses. The Fair sees the cover art contest as one way to continue interacting and including the schools in the Fair.

The 71st Manchester Community Fair will be held June 23-27, 2015 at Alumni Field. Visit the fair's website for more information.
