Lenawee Christian School (LCS), a private, Christian school located in Adrian, MI announced last week that they will be expanding their school bus service north into Manchester beginning fall of 2015. LCS, which has a student body of more than 600 students K-12, currently has at least 15 students living in Manchester who make the 21 mile commute daily.

Although the bus stop in Manchester will be convenient for the families of the students living in Manchester who opt to take advantage of it, it is actually Manchester’s geographic location that ultimately placed the bus stop in Manchester, as Manchester will provide a central location for families driving in from Clinton, Napoleon, Chelsea, Saline, and Ann Arbor. Tom Durbin, Head of School at LCS stated, “We have run cost-scenarios for years, trying to find effective ways to provide bus service to families located outside the radius of our normal bus routes. Manchester provides an ideal spot for our northernmost families as it sits straight north on M-52, a well-maintained highway which connects directly to Adrian.”

Lenawee Christian School is a private, interdenominational Christian school that serves the educational, social, spiritual, and developmental needs of children from birth through grade 12.
