Girl Scout Daisy Troop Visits Lenawee Humane Society

Manchester K-1st Daisy troop 40673 took a special learning trip to the Lenawee Humane Society on Friday. After spending the last few weeks discussing ways to care for animals the girls were excited to experience care in action. The volunteer staff graciously opened the Humane Society after hours just for the tour, and spent an hour answering questions and letting the girls pet and feed animals. The Daisies will take what they learned and use it to earn their first Girl Scout journey badge.

The girls learned being quiet and still is the best way to get nuzzled by Butters the cat. Butters is currently up for adoption.
