Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 - Editors Note: We've received word from Village officials that because of weather delays, the bridge won't be ready to open tomorrow and the very short ceremony scheduled for 10am has been canceled. The bridge will most likely open during the day on Friday, without a ceremony. A formal bridge opening ceremony is still scheduled for May 15th.

After being partially closed for more than 2 years and completely closed for almost 3/4 of a year, vehicles will once again have a completely open Main Street bridge on which to drive across the Raisin River. On Wednesday, May 4th at 10 am after a very brief public ceremony, the bridge will be open to traffic! A formal ceremony and celebration of the opening of the bridge will take place on Sunday, May 15th during the Canoe Race festivities.

The NEW Main Street Bridge will be opening up to traffic this Wednesday at 10am.
