The Manchester Community Fair raised $2,500 during fair week for the Chad Tough Foundation, whose goal is to fund research and raise awareness for Pediatric Brain Tumors with an emphasis on Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. The fair raised money with a dunk tank and nightly car smash event where donors were able to hit a car with a sledge hammer, as well as by selling ChadTough T-shirts.

Spokesperson for the fundraiser, Cindy Benedict, stated that they still have ChadTough shirts to sell and the proceeds from those will still be going to the ChadTough Foundation. The T-shirts will be available at the Chicken Broil on July 21st, for sale by the fair queens.

Benedict stated, "It took many volunteer hours to make these events happen at the fair and I truly appreciate every hour that was spent volunteering by those individuals. Without their help, this would have never been possible.A special thank you to Nathan Booth, Megan Bristle & Marcy Bristle for their assistance with all of the ChadTough activities. They stepped up to help out without even being asked and really showed how dedicated they are to the fair and community."

This was such a success this year that the Fair board is talking about making fundraising for non-profit groups a regular thing, and in the future may fund-raise for local organizations.
