This Thursday at the gazebo in Manchester's "Village Green," Wurster Park, join us to welcome TJ Thomas and Kentucky Strait.

Kentucky Strait was formed 21 years ago by band leader TJ Thomas and consists of four full-time members, led by TJ Thomas on Guitar and Vocals; Ron Stewart-Bass Guitar/Vocals; Bud Merglewski-Piano/Vocals; and Lyle Cantley-Drummer/Vocals.

TJ Thomas performed last August with Marty Haggard in Sandusky, Ohio; as a group they have opened for such country stars as Steve Wariner, The Oak Ridge Boys, the late Conway Twitty, Michael Twitty, Tom T.Hall, Razzy Bailey, Billy Crash Craddock, just to name a few. Some band members have backed Stonewall Jackson, David Frizzel, Mike Twitty, Ty Herndon and Anita Cochran.

TJ spent 17 years on the road entertaining people across the United States and Canada. Along with Kentucky Strait, he's worked the honkytonks, fairs, and festivals across the country, and they performed at Opry in Terre Haute, Indiana to great reviews. With the ability to not just play songs but entertain people through their musicianship, humor and repertoire of songs they are sure to leave you wanting one more song.

This year's gazebo concert series is dedicated to the memory of Bill Schwab, who supported and guided the series from its inception. Come down to the park this Thursday evening starting at 7:30 pm, and be ready to enjoy a night of rocking country sounds.
