The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life events are the world's largest fund-raiser to fight cancers of all types.

Whether it's advocating for lifesaving change, honoring a loved one, funding groundbreaking research, motivating communities to donate, delivering vital patient services, or listening to someone’s journey, every action that is part of Relay For Life moves us one step closer toward achieving a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is hosting a Western Washtenaw Forum August 31 to discuss what the community wants the ACS presence to be in your community. Everyone who is passionate about ACS, Relay For Life, or fighting cancer is welcomed to attend, and bring a guest!

"Bring your visions and opinions with you," says Alisha Mireles, Community Manager for Relay For Life. "Nothing is off the table. We need to hear from the community representatives of each community, about what ideas and options there are for all events in the Western Washtenaw County area.

Together, we can be a united force against all cancers! Join the forum to share your ideas and help build a vision for the American Cancer Society in this community. The meeting will be held from 6:30-7:30 pm at the McKune Room of the Chelsea District Library, 221 South Main Street, Chelsea.
