Bethel Church Road will close today because of a deteriorated box culvert.

Today, August 29, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will official reopen Austin Road between Ernst and Schneider which has been closed for nearly a month and close another Manchester area road, like Bemis Road, because of extensive structural deterioration of a culvert. This time it is Bethel Church Road. The culvert in question spans the River Raisin Tributary and is located between Sharon Hollow Road and Meyers Road in Section 28 of Sharon Township. The posted DETOUR for this culvert closure will include Sharon Hollow Road, Pleasant Lake Road, and Meyers Road. The road will be closed by using concrete barrier and barricades.

According to the Washtenaw County Road Commission, no repair or replacement has been scheduled at this time.
