“Connected” – New magazine coming from the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation
Watch your mailboxes October 17! The 5 Healthy Towns Foundation is publishing a new bi-annual magazine titled “Connected.” This magazine will contain health and wellness articles prepared on behalf of the towns in the 5HF region, including Manchester. You’ll be able to read about what is going on in Manchester through the activities of the Manchester Wellness Coalition, and view local advertising from businesses and organizations supporting the 5HF mission.
The magazine will be mailed to all addresses in the Manchester area free of charge, and copies will be available at various locations around the village. An on-line version will also be available at the 5 Healthy Towns website: www.5healthytowns.org. With this publication, the Foundation and the Manchester Wellness Coalition seek to increase their outreach and community awareness as they progress through their fifth year of programs. You’ll also learn what is happening in Manchester’s partner towns of Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake and Stockbridge.
This magazine will be published twice a year–October and April. Each issue will contain current updates and an occasional quirky article of interest. For example, did you know that Manchester was a center of phrenology in the 1840s? Read the article in the October issue to learn more!
So when it arrives in your mailboxes on or around October 17, please take it to your favorite reading chair with a cup of healthy refreshment, and enjoy reading about healthier ways of living and having fun!
