The Student of the Month for December was Loretta Westcott. She is currently a senior at Manchester High School and the daughter of Theresa Royce of Manchester.

During her high school career here at Manchester, Loretta has been involved with the National Honors Society and Student Council. She is also part of the FFA, the Spanish Club, and the Bow Tie Society. Loretta has also played volleyball for the past 4 years.

In addition to her high school activities, Loretta is active in handing out poppies for the past 4 years and helping with the food truck on the third Wednesday of the month for the past 3 years.

After high school, Loretta plans on going into a nursing program at a 4-year university, most likely Western Michigan University.

Manchester Civic Club, in collaboration with the faculty and administration of Manchester High School, selects the Student of the Month from applicants based on academic achievement, leadership/participation in extra-curricular activities, and all around service to the school and community.
