The congregations of Manchester invite you to join them on Ash Wednesday for meditation and reflection at one of our services.

At Emanuel United Church of Christ, 324 West Main Street, a Soup Luncheon will be served in Fellowship Hall at 11:15 a.m. Rev. Aaron Kesson will be preparing the soup for all to enjoy. Worship with Ashes and Holy Communion will begin in the sanctuary at noon.

At Manchester United Methodist Church, 501 Ann Arbor Street, worship with Ashes and Holy Communion will begin at 7:30 pm.

The Rev. Dr. David Bucholtz, pastor of Bethel United Church of Christ, will bring the message “Cracked Pots!”

The season of Lent is a 40 day period (not including Sundays) leading to the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Day. This is a time of penitence and reflection. For some, they choose to give something up and others choose to add something to their lives to grow in deeper love of Jesus Christ. We invite you to join us as we prepare to celebrate a holy Lent!
