Obituary: Florence Ann Parr

Florence Ann Parr (1927 - 2017)

Her Legacy… Parr, Florence Ann, age 89, passed away February 20, 2017 at Cambrian Assisted Living in Tecumseh, MI. She was born on October 29, 1927 to Herman and Emma (Schnierle) Ashfal in Ann Arbor, MI. Florence married the love of her life, Floyd Parr, on August 28, 1948 at Manchester United Methodist Church. Her life-long career was that of a registered nurse. In her spare time, Florence liked to paint, sew, and arrange flowers. She was well known for her pies and cobbler. Florence and Floyd enjoyed playing Bridge, Euchre, and Dominos with family and friends. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Her Family… Florence leaves behind her sons, Douglas (Diana), Kenneth (Peggy); daughter-in-law, Pat; grandchildren, Jodi, Kelly (Matthew), Jerrud, Amanda, Emily (Jeff); and great grandchildren, Donnie, Aranka, and Scarlett. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd; son, Stanley; and sister, Ruth.

Her Farewell… Florence's Community Farewell will be on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11am at Manchester United Methodist Church in Manchester, with a gathering beginning at 10 am until the time of service. Reverend Aaron Kesson will officiate. Memorial donations may be given to Manchester United Methodist Church or Great Lakes Hospice Foundation, 900 Cooper St, Jackson, MI 49202.
