Lyndon Uphaus honored at the 2017 Washtenaw County Agriculture Banquet

The Washtenaw County Dairy and Livestock Council honored Lyndon Uphaus from Manchester and Robert Mast from Dexter, at their annual Washtenaw County Agriculture Banquet held March 16 at the Chelsea High School. The board presented them with their Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award in recognition of their many years of dedication and service to the agricultural community in Washtenaw County. At the 2017 Washtenaw County Agriculture Banquet held on March 16th, the Washtenaw County Dairy Livestock Council presented their Distinguished Service to Agriculture Awards to Manchester’s Lyndon Uphaus and to Robert Mast from Dexter. These awards are given in recognition of many years of dedication and service to the agricultural community in Washtenaw County.

More than 250 people were present as at the event held at the Chelsea High School. A prime rib and chicken dinner was prepared by Chelsea Food Service and served by the National Honor Society from Chelsea High School. The entertainment for the evening was provided by the Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic, American’s premier youth fiddling show band. Ryan Rentschler from Ann Arbor was elected to the council for a three year term. Retiring board member Rod Powers from Chelsea was thanked for his years of service on the council. The group was pleased to have State Representative Donna Lasinski from the 52nd District attend the banquet also.

The Washtenaw County Dairy Livestock Council gave a big thank you to all of the contributors to the 2017 banquet.
