Lady Dutch traveled down to Monroe for the their 2nd game of the season. Right from the start Manchester took control and camped in the opposition half.

The Lady Dutch was more composed in possession and played with a purpose. It wasn’t long before freshman Natalie Bargardi opened the scoring with a screamer from 22 yards out.

Manchester kept up the pressure and had numerous opportunities on set pieces to expand their lead but couldn’t add to their tally.

Manchester’s 2nd finally came from a great through ball into Delanie Osborne who linked up well with Rayna Edwards. Rayna’s left footed strike was too much for the Monroe keeper and found its way into the back of the net.

The Lady Dutch never let off the gas despite constant changes in the line up, The Manchester 3rd goal came from a ball won in Midfield by Bargardi, her pass found Lauren Sprau who threaded a well timed pass in behind the defensive line for Emma Mrocko to slot home passed the keeper.

The score was 3 – 0, Lady Dutch, at half-time.

The 2nd half was very much like the 1st, Manchester retained possession and looked to finish the game off.

Rayna Edwards added a 2nd, Emma Mrocko added a penalty kick for her 2nd and Monroe put the ball in the back of their own net for the last Lady Dutch goal.

Megan Mann’s first HS Career shut out came from some solid work from the Dutch defense.

Manchester heads into spring break 2 – 0 on the season and faces Clinton at home in their next game on April 11th with a 5:30pm kickoff at Alumni field.
