Come out and support Manchester's Lady Dutch Soccer team and help raise money for  Diuble Family Vision!!

On April 20, at 5:30 pm, Manchester’s Lady Dutch will take on Grass Lake’s Lady Warriors at Alumni Field. It will be a BATTLE FOR SIGHT! Lady Dutch and Lady Warriors want you to help them battle for a good cause! All t-shirts sales and concessions for the game go to the Diuble Family Vision organization to help fight blindness.

The purpose of Diuble Family Foundation, Inc. is to support research for treatment and cures, provide public awareness and to promote the well being of persons with disabilities or the underprivileged.

"We decided early on not to be paralyzed by our obstacles ... but to rise up and do something about it," said Angie Diuble. "Because we personally face vision and hearing issues daily, we know how important this quest is to those who are also facing similar challenges. We are committed and KNOW we can find a cure!"

Because of a medical condition, Lilly Diuble, in addition to wearing hearing aids, could face blindness. This has led her family to become crusaders for the fight to cure blindness. Lilly, Abby and their family and friends have raised almost $150,000 over the last several years for the Foundation Fighting Blindness and the Michigan Vision Walk. While Lilly’s younger sister Abby has always helped in this project, she is heading up a new project named WHIP, which stands for “Warning Hearing Impaired People.” The goal of the WHIP project is to get one alarm system for every hearing impaired child for free, that connects a weather radio, smoke alarm, and a carbon monoxide alarm to a bed shaker to wake a hearing-impaired sleeper. It also has a bright LED light that can be “seen” by many visually impaired users.

Manchester soccer offensive player Delanie Osborne will be live on-air with Bubba from W4 Country this Tuesday, April 18th at 6:45 am promoting the BATTLE FOR SIGHT game. The team is feeling the excitement for the upcoming game!

A Limited number of t-shirts are still on sale! Contact kcole@mcs.k12.mi.us to reserve your $15 t-shirt today! All reserved shirts can be picked up on Wednesday April 19th in the Manchester High School commons from 3-5pm.
