Library to host Michelle Andonian, prize-winning photojournalist & author of This Picture I Gift

The Manchester District Library is hosting speaker, photographer, and author Michelle Andonian on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 7pm in the Village Room at the Manchester Village Building, 912 City Road. She will be recounting her grandmother Sarah's escape in 1915 from the Armenia. She traveled with her mother and baby brother, Nishan who died while they walked because of malnutrition. Sarah eventually emigrated to America, married, settled and raised her family in southwest Detroit. Michelle's book is filled with stunning photographs of the areas her grandmother traveled.
