Laura Wohlgemuth asks, "Does your wardrobe need a refresher? Let's get together and swap!"

Wohlgemuth, one of the organizers of a new group, Moms of Manchester (M.O.M.), invites all women to participate in a  women's clothing swap at the Chi Bro Park pavilion during the Chamber of Commerce's Business Expo held at the Farmer's Market on Thursday, May 25 from 3:30 - 7:30 pm.

It is free to participate! Please bring clean women's clothing, either on hangers or folded, to the picnic tables at Chi Bro Park between 2:30 and 3:30 pm. If you need to drop off before this time or if you have any questions, please contact Wohlgemuth at (586) 703-4549. Clothes can be any size but must be in good condition with no stains or tears.

You will be able to take as many clothes as you bring. If you don't have clothing to bring, you may purchase items for $1 each. All money collected will go to the Manchester Ladies Society to buy baby care items for the Baby Baskets given to every new baby born in the Manchester area. Clothing not taken at the end of the swap will be donated to Purple Heart.

This women's clothing swap is the kick off event for M.O.M. Wohlgemuth explained that the idea is to create a group of moms (and others) who are interested in selling and trading their services to others in our community. She stated, "There is so much talent that many of us find we struggle to share because we are stay at home moms or just don't have an outlet to find people who need our services. We all have something to offer. Let's get together and give each other an opportunity to share our talents with the Manchester community!"

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
