The Manchester Community Fair is coming to Alumni Memorial Field on the corner of Wolverine and Vernon Streets, July 11 to 15, with the fair parade on Tuesday the 11th at 6:30 pm. This year's carnival rides and games will again be provided by Schmidt Amusements. Megapasses will be available at the fair office for $60 and will allow riders unlimited rides all 5 days of the fair. The one day ride all day passes are $18. Adult admission all day on Tuesday, all day on Wednesday, and Thursday through Saturday before 4 pm will be $5. Thursday through Saturday after 4 pm, admission will be $9. A Season Pass for adults is $25, seniors $20 and children under 8 are FREE. Exhibit Building entrees will be accepted only on Monday, from 2 to 8 pm. Tuesday is Veteran's Day--free admission to veterans with ID. Thursday is Senior Citizens Day with free admission until 5 pm.

In addition to two days of RODEO on Thursday and Friday, there will be a special event this year on Saturday night, the USA Demolition Derby. The Demolition Derby will feature autocross with up to 40 cars and a $600 feature winner and a truck demolition derby with up to 12 trucks. The USA Demolition Derby has put on derbies for 42 years, across the State of Michigan. USA Demolition Derby state on their website, "The obvious stars of our shows are the cars, most of which were born right here in Michigan. We can’t overlook the real stars--the brave men and women that pilot the automobiles. Also, the time and talent from a dedicated crew that have built these warrior autos to compete on the track. Countless hours of preparation have been put into each one of these cars by the drivers and their pit crews." And, "Catch the skill of the Auto-Cross drivers as they navigate the many twists and jumps on the track. These motorized gladiators know just the right moves to make and when to make them. Sometimes breaks don’t go a driver’s way, but they keep coming back and digging until they do. This all makes for a great show!"

If anyone is interested in participating in either or both of these events at the Manchester Community Fair, please visit USA Demolition Derby, Inc website at http://www.usademoderby.com for their requirements and contact information. The Manchester Community Fair would like to thank Doan Companies and KBK Landscaping for their very generous donation and thank Huron Valley Ambulance and Manchester Township Fire Department for their continued support to make this event possible.
