Brad Hamilton, Manchester Community Schools' new interim superintendent.

An interim superintendent has been hired by the Manchester Community Schools Board of Education and begins his tenure today, July 24.

Brad Hamilton, who was formerly the superintendent of Grass Lake Community Schools for 13 years, retired from that district in December, 2015. At the time of his retirement, he had spent more than 38 years in education, primarily in Jackson and Lenawee counties. He most recently served as an interim superintendent in Onsted for several months.

His appointment as interim will last at least through December 31, 2017.

"I'm glad to be part of the Manchester Community," he said.

Chris Fegan, school board president, announced Hamilton's appointment in an email to board and staff on Thursday, July 20.
