Manchester's 6th graders, the class of 2024, celebrated moving up to the Middle School last Friday, something which their class did, uniquely, for the second time. Until this year, Manchester Middle School was made up of 5th through 8th grades and was located in the building on East Main Street. That building closed at the end of the school year last June, and the 5th & 6th grades were moved to Klager Elementary, while the 7th & 8th grades were moved to the High School building. This class, which had been Middle School 5th graders last year, returned to Klager Elementary as 6th graders this year. Now, they will move to the Middle/High School building as 7th graders next year, making them possibly the only class in Manchester history who will get to "move up" to the Middle School twice!
