Fairy Festival THIS Thursday

The Manchester Farmers Market will be holding their annual Fairy Festival this Thursday, June 13 from 3:30 to 7 pm, at Chi-Bro Park.

Special activities include:

  • Fairy Garden Make and Take from 3:30 to 7 pm (or until supplies run out)
  • Fairy Crafts from 3:30 to 7 pm
  • Fairy Bowling from from 3:30 to 5 pm
  • Fairy Interpretive Dance at 4:30 pm
  • Fairy Hunt at 4:45 pm
  • Story Time: The Quest of the Dragon Egg at 5 pm
  • Fairy Festival Parade lead by Cultural Art Strings at 5:15 pm 
  • Drawing for the Giant Stuffed Animal at 5:30 pm  – MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!!!
  • Stories and Singing with Tinkerbell at 5:45 pm

The Make and Take Fairy Gardens were generously donated by McLennan’s, The Manchester Farmers Market, Joy’s Vintage Dolls and Toys, and Debbie’s Ferns and Hostas. The giant stuffed animal was donated by the Manchester Lions Club.

Additionally, there will be face painting with Art by Omega, fairy crafts, and many prizes given away. Special vendors will be present. Debbie will be selling ferns and hostas in a one-day sale. A favorite from last year, Clever Creations by Amy will be returning!

The 5pm story time is very special and features the world premiere reading of “The Quest of the Dragon Egg” co-written by 13 year old Liam Pemberton and his father Bill.

For the grand finale, Tinkerbell, from Royal Princess Parties, will bring the magic of stories and singing, performing classic princess songs and beautiful fairy songs.

Don’t forget, after the Farmers Market, head to Wurster Park! At 7 pm, Gemily, featuring Michigan’s Favorite Children’s Performers, will kick off the gazebo concert season.

Courtney from Cake Nouveau, former Food Network Contestant, and Instructor at The French Pastry School in Chicago will be selling magical frosted sugar cookies. Her treats are as delicious as they are beautiful.
Two sisters and kid-preneurs started making necklaces and Michigan Pillows and grew into diffuser pillows and cold rice packs. You can apply Essential Oils to their felt creations for kiddos to aid with sleep or use as a sachet or for yourself! The Crafty Crafters will be at the Fairy Festival!
