Multiple options for yoga in Manchester
Yoga, an ancient Indian practice, reached the United States in the mid-19th century, evolved into what we recognize as yoga in the 20th, and is readily available in three different locations on Main Street in Manchester in the 21st century.
At 101 West Main Street, Hollie Kolcz teaches Yoga at the Distance on Saturdays from 8:30 to 9:30 am and Tuesdays from 4 to 5 pm. She teaches Slow Flow Yoga, which introduces the basic yoga poses, alignment and breath. She stated, “You will be guided through a carefully designed active flow that will build heat, cultivate fluidity, and promote strength. You will also experience intentional stretching and restorative poses allowing you to turn your focus inward nourishing your mind and spirit.” Slow Flow Yoga is suitable for all levels from beginner to seasoned, ages 12 and up, and is open to everyone in the community. Cost is by donation as Kolcz never charges a fee.
