Community "sends off" seniors with a car parade

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

On Sunday afternoon, community members lined Main Street and waved, clapped, shouted congratulations to, and even confetti-ed Manchester High School seniors who rode in decorated cars and trucks through the Village. Some seniors wore their caps and gowns, while others just enjoyed the ride.

The event was organized by parents and not an official school activity. Additionally, it was considered a car cruise, not a parade, as no streets were blocked for the event. Sunday, May 31st, was the MHS class of 2020’s originally scheduled graduation date, but it has been rescheduled to June 19th because of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting statewide stay-at-home orders.
