Manchester’s own Natalie and Mason Horning were honored at the recent Great Lakes Regional Dairy Conference held February 6-8, 2014 in Mount Pleasant, MI.

Natalie Horning was awarded the Outstanding First Year Dairy Club Member. With over 100 members, the Michigan State University Dairy Club is a professional and social organization that allows its members to experience the dairy industry beyond the classroom. It provides students with multiple educational, social, and networking opportunities in various aspects of the dairy industry. The club strives to develop leadership skills and support and promote the dairy industry with participation in dairy related events.

Mason Horning was awarded the Junior Michigan Dairy Ambassador. Mason was selected by a panel of industry judges based on his submitted application. The Ambassador Program was created to offer leadership development opportunities to future dairy professionals, so there are strings attached to this award. Mason will be the primary face of Michigan’s dairy industry at a variety of educational, industry and promotional events held across the state during the year.

Congratulations to Natalie and Mason on being recognized for their knowledge, talent, and dedication to being true leaders in the dairy industry.
