New Priest Appointed to St. Mary Catholic Church
Bishop Boyea has named Fr. Bosco Padamattummal as new Administrator of St Marys parish in Manchester. Fr. Bosco, currently serving as parochial vicar of St. Francis in Ann Arbor, will begin his ministry in Manchester on Wednesday June 25th and will live in residence at the rectory. Fr. Timothy D. Krzyzaniak, who has served as pastor at St. Mary for about a decade, announced in late March he was leaving the parish. He will be staying until Fr. Bosco takes over.
Fr. Bosco is a native of India and has served in the Diocese for 10 years. In the coming weeks he will begin to make visits to the parish in order to make the transition. It is the policy of Bishop Boyea that when a priest is named a to pastor a parish for the first time, that the first year he is made the administrator. If all goes well then he is canonically named pastor at the beginning of his second year.
