Manchester Middle School 2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run

Registration is open for the upcoming May 8th, 5K Walk/Run. The 5K will start at 3:30pm at the Manchester Middle School playground at 710 E. Main Street, as well as finish there. Students, parents, and friends are all welcome to register and participate. The route consists entirely of sidewalks.

This 5K is a fundraiser for 2 organizations, the Manchester Middle School Teams for the Vision Walk on May 10th and the American Diabetes Association. There is a $5 fee to register ($7 after May 1). 100% of this fee will be donated to these two charities. The registrant will decide which.

To register, drop off your registration form at the Middle School office. Checks can be made payable to Foundation Fighting Blindness or American Diabetes Association.

Each participant will receive water and snack, and an additional prize on the day of the event. Everyone who registers will be entered into a prize raffle. All finishers will receive a 5K medal at the finish line. First place medals will also be awarded.

Organizers want to remind participants that all physical activity runs a risk and you should consult your doctor. Additionally, participants should be aware that there will be supervision along the route; however, it is only at checkpoints and that students must stay on the route.

The 5K is sponsored by the Builder’s Club, Lilly’s Friends, American Diabetes Association, FUTP60, Mrs. Spickard, Chartwells Food Service in connection with FUTP60, Kiwanis, Physical Therapy in Motion, and the Manchester Middle
