6:30 pm Presentation on Local Tourism

Where: Village Room, (lower level of library), 912 City Road, Manchester, MI
Description: Manchester is part of the Gateway Communities Initiative, often referred to as “The Big 400”, a regional eco-tourism program to bring visitors to our scenic wonders while also drawing them into Manchester’s downtown for shopping, dining, and events. Come and learn more about The Big 400, the tours we are developing, and what you too can enjoy on a nice afternoon! Examples include our Tour de BarnQuilts, Tour de Birds, historical walking tour, strange and unusual barns, working farm tours, Manchester’s role in the movie industry, and thrills of mills!

Description: Join Ms. Karen for entertaining stories, crafts, and songs. Get ready for the holidays with our Reindeer theme today.

3:30 pm LEGO Club

Where: Manchester District Library
Description: Like Legos? You’ll love this group! Build something fantastic with the library’s big LEGO collection, and we’ll display your creation until the following Wednesday. All ages. No charge. No registration required. A caregiver must remain in the building for ages 10 and under.

3:30 pm Manchester Schools Community Forum

Where: Board Room, Ackerson Building, 410 City Road, Manchester, MI
Description: Community forum with updates from district leadership. Are you curious about the district goals, initiatives, curriculum, technology integration and student/teacher learning? All stakeholders are welcomeand encouraged to check it out.

Where: St. Mary’s Parish Center, 110 East Madison St., Manchester
Description: All you can eat! $8 adults, $7 seniors, kids 5- 10 $4, kids 4 & under FREE. CAS will be performing as entertainment as well!

7 pm High School Winter Concert

Description: This is a concert band, jazz band and choir performance. Alumni are invited to perform sleigh ride with the concert band in this annual winter tradition. If you need an instrument, please contact Jared Throneberry.

7:30 pm Manchester Area Historical Society Mtg

Where: Sharon United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall (on M-52 at Pleasant Lake Road) Description: Refreshments are usually served following the meetings. Everyone is welcome.

Description: Every year Manchester Family Services relies on food donations collected by local cubs scouts. They will be braving the December weather collecting nonperishable food items, baking supplies, cleaning supplies and personal care donations at Manchester Market.
