Updated 4:30pm: According to Consumers Energy, the outage effects a total of 935 electric customer. The area effected is bordered by Easudes Road to the north, Wellwood Road to the south, Adrian Road to the east and Case Road to the west.

Updated 3:30pm:  The emergency power outage originally thought to only effect the Village is actually effecting a much larger area including the west half of Manchester Twp., southwest corner of Sharon Twp. and extending into Jackson County (see Consumers Power map below). Main Street is closed at the site of the repair and traffic is being detoured around the many trucks working on the pole. Hundreds of residents are without power. While some are making do with fireplaces and wood burners for heat, others have sought refuge at the library and restaurants.

Repairs continuing at 2:30pm.

Portions of the West side of Manchester Village will have a emergency power outage beginning about 11am today, Monday 02/23/15. The power outage is expected to last 10-12 hours. The Village was not alerted before the message went out to the public and is trying to get more information from Consumers. A pole at Elton and Main is broken and at the moment they believe the outage will likely affect everything west of the Kirk Park substation.
