Sharon UMC Holding Dementia Workshop

Sharon United Methodist Church is holding a workshop for those who are relating to people with some form of dementia entitled “Learning the Dementia Dance” on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 7 to 9pm in their fellowship hall located on the corner of M-52 & Pleasant Lake Rd. This event is FREE and open to the public.

The workshop will be led by Becky Jungkuntz and her father, Pastor Ted Jungkuntz of Ann Arbor and will focus on how to live with and love a person with dementia based on real-life experience. The Jungkuntz will be providing a biblical foundation as well as giving practical tips from their own experience. Topics to be discussed include: the dance of grief and hope as you journey through the long goodbye, the dance of changing roles, learning new ways to communicate, adapting daily activities, making difficult decisions and connecting with others. Light refreshments provided.
