On June 22, a tornado affected four Manchester families, severely damaging their homes. Renee St. Charles and Cassandra Thomson, residents of Manchester and Jamberry Independent Consultants, decided to help by doing a Jamberry fundraiser.

The tornado affected St  Charles’s home, but not as severely as two of her neighbors’ homes, the Preis family, a small wheat field away, and the Diuble family a little further down the road. Unfortunately, the damage to those families’s homes was so extensive they are unable to live in their homes.

In the Preis’s case the situation is even worse as their home also served as the daycare for several families in the surrounding area. During the time the house is being repaired, the Preis family’s daycare is closed. Not only have families lost their secondary caregiver, the Preis family has lost a portion of their livelihood. “This is a sad situation for all involved. Let’s help them through this difficult time,” said St. Charles.

She explained how Jamberry works, “Jamberry is a direct sales company that offers non-toxic, nail wraps in over 300 designs that are heat activated and pressure sealed. They last up to two weeks on your finger nails and 6 weeks or more on toe nails.  Jamberry also offers tools for a flawless application and salon quality nail lacquer in many different colors.  Pampering hand care sets that include a sugar scrub, crème, balm and cleanser are available to purchase as well. There is something for everyone!”

Orders can be placed with Renee St. Charles at 734-428-1800 or on-line HERE.
With every purchase made, 50% of St Charles and Thomson’s commission will be deposited into the Tornado Relief account. A demonstration will be held at the Manchester United Methodist Church from 2-4 pm on Sunday, August 9. Stop in and you will be able to try a nail wrap on before you buy them. Cash-and-Carry will be available for immediate purchase. There will be door prizes and raffles, and refreshments will be served. Donations made directly to the Tornado Relief account can also be dropped off at the demonstration or anytime at Old National Bank.
