Manchester’s Barbara Fuller recently announced that she has entered the race for the 52nd district state house seat. “Having lived in Sharon Township for 30 years, I identify with the unique character of western Washtenaw County and the people who live here. I am an independent thinker, hard worker and a person of integrity. I know how to win this seat. I have proven my ability to work with others to get things done. That’s where I excel and that is why I am seeking the office of State Representative for Michigan’s 52nd district,” Barbara Fuller announced.

Barbara has worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors, including as a legislative aide, dental hygienist, road commissioner, park commissioner, campaign manager, as well as many other roles.

“My priorities are wide-ranging and include: roads and infrastructure, public education, 21st century jobs, reproductive choice, environmental stewardship, and affordable broadband access. I will find common ground on those issues and build on it to get things done,” she declared.

Barbara and her husband of 41 years have raised two, now adult, children. She earned her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Grand Rapids Community College and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Teacher Education from the University of Michigan.

“It’s time for legislators to reach across the aisle, focus on areas of agreement and put their heads together to move Michigan forward. I am prepared to do exactly that,” Barbara concluded.

The 52nd district is located in western Washtenaw County encompassing all or part of fifteen townships, four cities and one village.
