In early October the Manchester Christmas Home Tour Committee announced that there would be no Home Tour this year, adding to the growing list of postponed and canceled 2015 annual community events. This was especially disappointing to the Christmas in the Village organizers who moved their event from the weekend before Thanksgiving in November to the first weekend in December this year in order to coordinate with the Christmas Home Tour. But after almost a month of regrouping and renewing their efforts, the Home Tour is back on!

A very determined and newly expanded Home Tour committee has announced that on December 5th they will be holding a holiday tour of three houses and two historic local sites. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.

As in previous years, the tour will run from noon until 8 pm. Tickets will go on sale soon and will be available at Stockwell’s, Kellie’s, The Manchester Pharmacy, The Flower Garden and Linda’s Diner. The cost of a ticket will be $15 in advance or $18 at the door. All proceeds will be donated to the Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce to be used for Christmas decorations for the village.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
