Manchester Dancers to Perform Dec. 4 – 6 in Nutcracker in Chelsea

Ballet Chelsea will present its 18th annual Nutcracker performance, December 4-6, 2015 which corresponds with Chelsea’s Hometown Holiday weekend and Manchester’s Christmas in the Village. The Nutcracker ballet will be performed Saturday, December 5 at 2 and 7 pm, and Sunday, December 6 at 2 pm at Chelsea High School’s Performing Arts Complex. This family favorite is a full-length, narrated ballet, choreographed by Ballet Chelsea Artistic Director, Wendi DuBois.

Nearly 70 accomplished Ballet Chelsea Company members (ages 7-18) and guests from Ann Arbor, Chelsea, Dexter, Grass Lake, Jackson, Manchester, Marshall, Pinckney, Stockbridge and Ypsilanti will delight audiences as they bring this classic story to life. Enriched by stunning costumes, elaborate sets, and live pyrotechnics, Ballet Chelsea’s production has become a local holiday tradition.

The Chelsea High School Performing Arts Complex is located at 740 N. Freer Road in Chelsea, Michigan. Tickets are available online HERE or in person at Ballet Chelsea’s new facility at 1050 S. Main St., Chelsea, Michigan. Adult tickets are $20 and student/senior tickets are $15. Large groups may contact info@balletchelsea.org for group discounts.

For the young and young at heart, a special Sugar Plum Tea is scheduled on Sunday, December 6th at 12:30 pm before the Sunday matinee performance. Guests are invited to dress for the occasion and bring their young guests to this delightful addition to The Nutcracker. Tickets are $12 and available online and in person at the Ballet Chelsea Studios.

Ballet Chelsea is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which provides professional-level dance training to young dance students, through performance opportunities, enrichment activities, master classes, summer intensives and pre-professional studies.
