Family Friendly New Years Eve Party Planned in Chelsea
SRSLY is gearing up for its eighth annual New Year’s Eve party with a great line-up of games, prizes, and music– and is inviting Manchester families to come join the fun! The SRSLY New Year’s Eve Party will take place from 4pm to 8pm Thursday, Dec. 31 at Beach Middle School in Chelsea. The event is FREE and open to the public.
The SRSLY New Year’s Eve Party contradicts the conventional wisdom that this holiday can’t be celebrated without alcohol. With support from local businesses and service clubs, this free event features fun activities for kids and adults.
Coalition members are planning games and activities that will appeal to all ages, including team games and competitions (eating contests, relay races, card games, giant plinko and more), face painting, video games, cookie-decorating, music, dancing, swimming, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, and a chili cook-off. Don’t forget your swim suits!
The first 10 entrants in the chili cook-off will receive a $10 gift card to Polly’s Country Market in Chelsea to purchase supplies. To sign up for the chili cook-off, contact Daniel Marthey at Daniel.marthey@stjoeshealth.org or call 734-593-6269.
SRSLY Manchester Community Organizer Lindsay Hannah is involved with the organization of the event and stated “Manchester community members have also always had a presence at this event either helping out or just having a good time.”
SRSLY is also seeking student and adult volunteers from SRSLY Manchester to donate 1-2 hours during the event. If you are interested in volunteering click HERE, or for more information about the event in general click HERE. Volunteers who sign up before December 11 will receive a free NYE Party Event Staff t-shirt.
