New Manchester resident, Michael “Papa” Powell, formerly of Traverse City, is enjoying his home in Manchester, especially since he is only 20 minutes away from his only granddaughter, Emma. Powell has painted a mural from a photo he took while in downtown Manchester. This photo shows he and Emma, working on the mural in the Powell’s basement. Powell has also purchased a 1931 Model A to drive in future Manchester parades. “They are definitely fitting in quite nicely!” says his daughter in law (Emma’s mom), Laurie Powell of Ann Arbor.
