Treasure hunters Kameron, Tod, and George

traveling down US 12 visiting historic sites, and scanning the ground for forgotten treasure. After visiting the Walker Tavern site, they stopped by Manchester. Decked with specialized tools they carefully, as to not to disturb the lawn, dug up a fair amount of old screws, discard, even a modern mockingjay medallion. But they did find a few items of note. Part way through their time in Manchester they had discovered three “wheaties” (wheat pennies minted 1909 to 1956), and George found his first ever Indian head penny (minted before 1906). The three travel far to treasure hunt, often visiting Virginia to scan Civil War battle grounds. They thought Manchester was a lovely village, and were excited to learn how much history is valued here.
