Letter to the Editor: Senior noon meals to resume
August, 13,2016
To the Editor:
The Manchester Area Senior Citizens Council, Inc., is excited to announce that our noon meals are set to resume on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Emanuel UCC located on Main Street in Manchester. Drive around to the parking lot behind the church. Enter through the canopied door, down a short ramp or a few stairs. Follow the sound of laughter and smell the good food and the coffee. Come early to visit, play cards, or enjoy a cup of Joe before lunch.
In the next weeks, look for our newsletter, The Trumpeter, which you can pick up at various locations around town, at our Senior meals, and on the Senior Bus. Those who have provided an email can expect to find the Trumpeter in their in-box as soon as it goes to print. We also have a mailing list and will gladly mail a newsletter to those who are unable to get it any other way! The Trumpeter is a voice for the MASCC and will inform you about the recent MASCC Board meeting, the weekly meals, activities before/after the lunches, and the activities Pam, our Bus driver, has arranged for the current month.
Please consider this to be an invitation to anyone in the area, 55 or older, to join us for food and fellowship on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, and beyond. Of course, you are also welcome to attend if you are younger and looking for a cheerful activity for Mom and/or Dad or just want to see what we are all about. Come and check us out.
Marg Jacob, Editor of the Trumpeter
