The Manchester Area Historical Society is planning a second Kingsley-Jenter House “Work Bee” for Saturday morning, September 24 from 9 am to noon. Everyone is invited to come help! The focus will be outside of the house and will include weeding, trimming bushes, general landscape cleanup, fixing blocks which have fallen out of place, cleaning first floor windows, cleaning the front porch and a general spiffing up of the appearance of the house.

Some gardening and cleaning tools and supplies will be available to use but if you can bring small gardening and trim tools, that will be helpful. They’ll also have some refreshments.

The Kingsley-Jenter Home is located at 302 E. Main on the downtown, “four corners” intersection. The Society completed this purchase of the house last December and is working to re-purpose the former funeral home into its new museum, archives and research center, and historical society and community meeting space.
