Ribbon Cutting Ceremony scheduled for Watkins Lake State Park and Washtenaw County Preserve

youre-invitedThe ribbon cutting ceremony for Michigan’s newest state park will be held Wednesday, October 26th at 10:30 am. Although part of Watkins Lake State Park and the Washtenaw County Preserve is located in Manchester Township, the ribbon cutting will be held north of Watkins Lake Road on Arnold Road, between Fay Lake Road and Horning Road just across the county line in Norvell Township. Those in attendance will be treated to refreshments and a sneak peek at the new park.

If you plan on  attending, RSVP to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources & Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission before October 21 by emailing AmesP@michigan.gov. (Please include Watkins Lake in the subject line)
