Last year’s Halloween was drizzly but lots of fun!

As always, the Village of Manchester will hold trick-or-treating from 5 to 7 pm on Oct. 31st. This year, that falls on a Monday. In addition to the many businesses and houses that will be handing out treats, the Manchester Chamber of Commerce, partnered with Kiwanis and the Civic Club, will be giving away free caramel-covered apples at the gazebo in Wurster Park on Main Street.

This event, which was held on the mill porch for years, was moved to the gazebo last year because Adrian street was part of a detour street for bridge traffic while the Main Street Bridge was torn out and couldn’t be closed. Logistically, Wurster Park provided to be a better location so organizers decided to make the move permenant.

Along side the gazebo, the Lions Club will be holding their pumpkin bowling event. All kids can pumpkin bowl for free and those who knock down all ten pins are entered into a drawing for a HUGE stuffed animal.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
