Books recommended by Donna:

Title: Pirate
Author: Clive Cussler & Robin Burcell

This, the third installment in the Sam and Remi Fargo Adventure series, does not disappoint. There are many plot twists and much travel, but it all ends well. Many traps are set, but the duo applies all their strengths to overcome them. They even question their trusted staff as information is leaked concerning valuable clues. The notion of Robin Hood as a “land pirate” has some merit.

Title: Deadly Fate
Author: Heather Graham

I was delighted with this story. It mixes adventure, mystery, romance, and mayhem very well. In it, the FBI has an advantage: the ability to communicate with ghosts. Without giving the ending away, the story has an interesting final twist that plays to the strength of friendship no matter the type of “being.”

Title: The Life She Wants
Author: Robyn Carr

Wow, lots of twists and turns in this story. Relationships forged in childhood continue to influence choices subconsciously until circumstances bring everyone back together. Self-awareness and forgiveness are needed for all to experience “the life.”

Title: Crash and Burn
Author: Fern Michaels

The Sisterhood rides again! Always a fun read. You just never know when, where, or why, but you know it will eventually work out. This time, both the “girls” and the “guys” work together as Maggie brings both groups to an understanding about her role and loyalty. A mother and daughter are reunited and a circle closed in a most unexpected way.

Title: Falling, A Love Story
Author: Jane Green

This book was recommended to me by a patron. It is an author I haven’t read, so I had no expectations. This is a lovely story about finding love when you’re not looking for it, being aware enough to take the leap, creating a new family, and better understanding your own. It made me tear up toward the end with an unexpected twist. I am looking forward to reading more of her.

Title: An Obvious Fact
Author: Craig Johnson

This is his latest in the Longmire series and I think one of the best. We learn more about “Bear” and his car’s namesake Lola. There is mystery, motorcycles, fights and chases, all making for a fast paced mystery.
