Obituary: Charles Thomas Colter Jr.

His Legacy…..Colter Jr., Charles Thomas, age 74 of Manchester passed away December 15, 2016 at Heartland Healthcare Center. He was born in Saline on July 16, 1942 the son of Charles Thomas Sr. and Jennie (Eilf) Colter. Charles married Bonnie Jean Fullerton at North Sharon Baptist Church in Grass Lake on July 13, 1963. He was employed with Ford Motor Co. until his retirement. Charles was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He will be forever remembered by his wife, daughters and family.

His Family….In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, Charles is survived by his children: Becky Sue Colter and Christeen Elizabeth Colter; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; mother, sister: Jeanne (William) Tubbs. He was preceded in death by his father, and brother: Richard Colter.

His Farewell….Charles’ family will greet friends on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Legacy Event Center in Manchester. His Community Farewell will be on Tuesday beginning at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. In Charles’ honor, memorial donations may be shared with Heartland Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
