Are you currently clean-shaven and and see no path to entering the Sesquicentennial Beard and Mustache Competition this summer and competing with impressive multi-year grown beards? Now there is a category just for you, the 150-Club category! In honor of Manchester’s 150th birthday celebration, men entering the 150 category must be clean-shaven on March 8th, 150 days out from the competition. They will have only 150 days to grow their beard!

The Beard and Mustache competition, being organized by the Manchester Ladies Society, with help of experienced Beard & Mustache Competition organizer Jason Heinrich, will be held on the afternoon of Saturday, August 5th in the Village Tap’s outdoor tent. In addition to this new category, it will include full beard natural (under 6 inches), full beard natural (over 6 inches), full beard natural styled mustache, freestyle mustache, styled mustache, partial beard, and styled partial beard.

Organizers have secured two of three judges but are still trying to locate a competitor from Manchester’s Centennial Beard Competition in 1967. If you competed or know someone who did who would be interested serving as a judge, please contact the Manchester Ladies Society at manchesterladiessociety@gmail.com or attend the upcoming Sesquicentennial planning meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 7 pm at the K-J House.
