PNO-LogoOn Saturday, March 18th, St. Thomas Lutheran Church will host a “Parents Night Out” event at the Freedom Town Hall on Pleasant Lake Road. Free childcare will be available, as well as a free meal for both parents and children. Courtney Aldrich, director of Children and Parent Ministries at Chelsea First United Methodist Church, will lead a presentation on “The Things We Say to Children.”

From, “Say you are sorry” to “Okay?”, you will examine common words adults use with children and why they send unintended or confusing messages. Leave with practical knowledge to use in your homes with children to improve and clarify your language and intended meaning. Children will need to be dropped off at Freedom Child Care Center (8753 Pleasant Lake Rd) by 5:45 pm and the presentation will be held at Freedom Township Hall (11508 E. Pleasant Lake Rd). Dinner will be served at 6 pm and the presentation will begin at 7 pm. Pre-registration here is required. Please register no later than March 11th.
