The Community Garden applications for the 2017 growing season are now available! The garden, located on the bus drive behind Klager Elementary School across from the baseball field, provides plots that can be rented for the summer, to grow your own fresh, organic fruit and vegetables. Prices for the whole summer are nominal and vary by size of plot from $10 for a small 4’x4’ raised bed, up to $40 for a 20’x20’ plot. If cost is an issue, you can apply to have the fee waived at the Community Resource Center. Plots are in a large fenced in garden and are automatically watered. All you have to do is plant, weed and harvest!

Applications will be available at the Manchester District Library and Community Resource Center next week or download the application here: 2017 Community Garden application_rules_guidelines

The Community Garden is funded by 5 Healthy Towns through the Manchester Wellness Coalition.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
